Happy Father's Day Baba!

This is my Mommy's favorite picture of Baba and me. It was taken about 4 hours after they first met me in China. Instead of crying and getting upset when my nanny handed me to them, I stayed very relaxed and never shed a tear. I even smiled and giggled a bit even though these two people looked very different from anyone I'd ever seen before - especially Mommy. Maybe I knew all along they were coming for me, and I was just so glad to finally be with a Mama and Baba who would be my forever family. That first night in a hotel in Chongqing, they played with me, fed me a bottle, and then it was time to go to sleep. My Baba started a tradition that night. I loved laying on his chest with him holding me, and that is the way I fall alseep every night now to this day. Mama plays with me for awhile, and then I fall asleep on Baba. Happy Father's Day Baba! Wo a ni (I love you).

Playing In The Inflatable Pool.....Part Deux (This Episode Includes A Swim Diaper!!!)

Mama and Baba let me swim in my pool again today. Do you like my palm tree?

I love it out here. The water feels great. And they are so happy about something called a "swim diaper." For some reason they are so glad I have one on this time!

I'm getting used to this palm tree that squirts water just as long as Baba doesn't make it go full blast.

I know this water LOOKS deep, but it's really not. I'm not even 30 inches tall yet!

I love my slide too! This is so much fun.

I really like climbing UP the slide though. That is much more challenging than sliding down it.

Mama loves holding me even when I'm dripping wet from the pool.

OK, it's time to go back inside. I sure had fun in the pool today. And Mama and Baba are so happy they don't have to "sanitize" the pool again. :)

Baby's Got Some New Toys...And She Enjoys Playtime With Mama and Baba

I love my Baba! He makes me happy.

And makes funny faces for me. And tickles me.

One of my favorite toys is a wooden shape sorter. Show me where that one goes again Mommy!

I'm trying to learn where they all go, and Mama is really helping me. I'll get them all one day.

I think I'll try it on my own and see what happens.

I also like my new building blocks. They taste great!

Mei-Ling & Bandit: This Girl LOVES Her Kitty Cat

I really, really love Mr. Bandit.

And he seems to really, really love me (or either the cat has relinquished his will and has decided to tolerate me).

Not so fast, Mr. Bandit. I'm not done with you yet.

I just love these moments with Mr. Bandit. (Note the look on the cat's face. He is hoping she will just GO AWAY!!!!)

I could just fall asleep here and take a cat nap with Mr. Bandit. (Bandit says, "Yes, please. Go to sleep. Or just let ME sleep.")

I think I'll try to pick him up now so I can hold him closely! (Bandit says, "Oh, yes. That would be JUST great.)

So if anyone ever wondered what kind of temperament Mr. Bandit has with Mei-Ling, here is your proof. He "acts" like he doesn't want her around, but yet he rarely tries to move outside of her reach. Mama and Baba think Mr. Bandit secretly loves Miss Mei-Ling.
